Superfoods Shamrock “Shake”- Healthy Remake Series

Hi Everyone!

Today I’m sharing a really nutritious, absolutely delicious, but yet simple recipe- a remake of the shamrock shake. Around the end of February each year, shamrock shakes begin to be commonly advertised, and they often are considered to be one of the traditional late winter treats. So, why not enjoy an equally delicious shake without all the artificial colors and flavors, but with tons of nutrients? The best thing about this shake is its simple, organic ingredients, so it can be a great breakfast. Yes, you read that right. A shamrock shake dessert you can drink for breakfast? Count me in!

Superfood Shamrock “Shake” (serves two)


  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 2 tbs. pure maple syrup
  • 1 cup organic spinach
  • 1/4-1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1/2 tsp. Vanilla extract
  • 1 tbs. chia seeds
  • 1/4 avocado
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup organic milk (whole organic or almond, any will do) 
  • 1 tbs. honey mixed with plain Greek yogurt (for topping)


First, freeze your peeled, ripe bananas for at least 8 hours or overnight. Next, place all ingredients in the blender except for the plain yogurt/honey mixture. Add in the milk gradually to achieve the best consistency. Once all ingredients are well blended, pour into glasses and garnish with a dollop of Greek yogurt and/or a mint leaf. Enjoy!
