Today I’m sharing a super healthy but picky-eater friendly dip that is perfect for an occasional sweet treat. It is made with no sugar, and it tastes quite delicious (this is my little brother’s favorite recipe)! Not to mention, it takes just 5 minutes or less to make. Using 3 ingredients, whip up this yummy dip for a twist on school lunches and snacks. Strawberries, banana slices, whole-grain honey graham crackers, and whole-wheat pretzels are great for dipping. This recipe is also perfect for a party snack/dessert!
Peanut Chocolate Protein Power Dip
Serves 2-3, Prep Time 5 Minutes
- 1/3 to 1/2 cup peanut (or other nut/seed) butter
- 3 tbs. local maple syrup
- 2 tbs. cacao (raw cocoa) powder
- optional flax/chia seed blend- 1/2 to 1 tbs.
In a small mixing bowl, combine the cacao powder and maple syrup. Whisk until it reaches a smooth, chocolate syrup-like consistency. Add in the nut/seed butter an optional chia/flax seeds, and mix until smooth. Serve with fruit, crackers,or pretzels, and enjoy! This dip can be kept in the refrigerator for about 4 days-1 week.
